Thanks to everyone who commented on my last post. It was really interesting to find out where some of you were from and what you do for a living. I also enjoyed hearing from some great old friends for the fist time in years. We officially hit 500 comments and this post is number 500. I can't believe I've actually stuck with this thing for a year and three months. In honor of hitting this blog milestone I'll share about a historic event that happened yesterday. Savannah Grace and my first "Daddy Date" here in Charleston.
During nap time yesterday while Rylee and Anita slept, Savannah Grace and I went up to old CSU and walked around the reflection pond looking at the ducks. Then we shot over to Brusters for a little ice cream. Gotta love the free "baby cone." We shot home and picked up Rylee and Anita and went to the water park. I really love living two miles from a water park. It's not a thrill ride place for adults but it's perfect my girls.
After the water park, SG and I got ready for the Battery game. The Charleston Battery is a minor league soccer team. They're pretty good and the stadium is a phenomenal place to watch a game. This was SG's first soccer game and she did pretty well. I was a little worried because the game didn't start until close to her bed time but with a fireworks show following the game I took the chance. We had a great time and the fireworks were great. You can't beat sitting at midfield with your daughter enjoying a beautiful Charleston night under some fireworks. Here are some pics.
