Today starts year thirty-one of my life. I'm not really sure what to expect. Year twenty-nine was difficult. Year thirty was almost a new beginning. What I do know is that God has done something different in me over the last twelve months. I'm not the person I was a few short years ago. I guess that's what people mean by "growing up" or "maturing."
This year will see the birth of my third child (hopefully a son). I believe it will be the most demanding and productive year of ministry I've ever been a part of. I'm praying that this is the year that Savannah Grace understands all that God has done for her and accepts her salvation gift.
I'm so thankful for my incredible wife and help-mate. Anita has been my friend, confidant, companion and the love of my life. This morning she and my daughters brought me breakfast in bed as they sang "Happy Birthday." It's a great start to this next year. I mean, how can it not be a great day when it starts like this?
