So, what do you do when you find yourself without an outlet to do what you were born to do? Well, I prepare for the next time I’ll have an opportunity.
The last three and a half weeks have been challenging. Some days are good; meeting with Godly men and spending time with great friends. Not to mention the special time I’ve been given to enjoy with my family. Other days are hard. Without a routine or expected schedule, I’m left with a lot of “think time.”
This “think time” can lead to over analysis and worry about the future. To combat this, as I’ve mentioned before, I’m reading a lot and doing some sermon prep. I have no idea when I’ll have the chance to preach again but that doesn’t mean God has stopped teaching me deep truths about His Word that I in turn have a burning passion to preach to others.
2 Timothy 1:6-7 has reminded me that we, both individually and together as The Church, have a challenging responsibility we are called to. Despite the difficulty and seeming impossibility of our circumstances, we must proclaim boldly that we “Won’t Back Down.”
