We all face frustration. However, we have many different ways of dealing with it. I have been faced with a repetitively frustrating situation and I've responded several different ways. Here's how I've seen my reactions play out:
- Humor – laughing it off as something not worth my time.
- Anger – beginning to take it personally and wanting to lash out.
- Depression – taking it totally personally and allowing it to steal my attention.
- Confusion – disbelief usually leading to many conversations with people who can do nothing about it.
While none of those options are healthy or helpful, I would guess you can see yourself in at least one if not all of them. Of course you and I both know the correct response (and "Churchy" answer) is to take these situations to God, but how often do you actually respond that way first? I know this is a challenge for me. So I put the question to you. How are you responding to continually frustrating situations or people?
