Well, I've been delaying this post until it was as close to 100% finalized as possible. Here are the details about what is next for the McCart family.
We're moving yet again. As we've walked the last few months down this difficult (relatively speaking of course) road, we've been begging God to show us HIS plan for the life He has given us. What we've found is that God's map for us is leading to Rock Hill, South Carolina.
I've been asked to do somethings that are very outside of my comfort zone and my ministerial experience (somewhat) in the last fifteen years. I am now the Worship & Family Pastor at North Rock Hill Church.
That means I'm working with a team of people to plan, design and execute the weekly main service. It also means I'm leading worship each weekend for main service. In time I'll also be working with the Family Ministry staff and volunteers for children, student, college and married ministry. It's a big job. I won't be able to rely on my natural talent, experience or charisma to get me through. I am humbled by the opportunity and completely dependent on God to do this through me.
I'm so excited to be at NRHC. In order to get there we will need some help. Here are the two shifts:
Friday, October 29 (Charleston):
Loading the U-Haul – Time to be determined (when U-Haul tells me when & where to get my truck)
Also, if there are a couple of people that could drive up on Saturday morning with me (one driving my car {stick shift} and another driving the return to Charleston car) This would be a tremendous help and would save us some money. I'll pay for the gas.
Saturday, October 30 (Rock Hill):
Unloading the U-Haul – Anticipated time 10am in Norwood Ridge Subdivision (across from NRHC Riverview Campus)
So that's what's going on. Please, please, please lift us up in prayer. This move is going to be hard for our family being just before the holidays, right before Mac's first birthday, and Savannah Grace starting at a new school halfway through the year.
We know God is at work in our lives and are excited about what He's doing. But just like everyone knows, some days are good and some are tough. Thank you to everyone who has been lifting us up and encouraging us through these days. In the end I am convinced that God has once again been ridiculously generous and blessed us even with our "Rich People" problems.
